Felix Road Adventure Playground is a unique space dedicated to children's play, family time and community togetherness. Our adventure playground has an open access policy - this means children are free to come and go as they choose. Children can decide what they do and with whom, they are encouraged to control their own play. Our play space offers children the freedom to grow, explore, be creative, experiment, be wild and crazy, take measured risks, play with uncertainty.......and enjoy a healthy happy childhood.
We offer a wide range of play possibilities from large wooden structures, tree houses, rope and tyre swings, a zip line, climbing beams and nets. we also have a stage to perform on, a football pitch, a nature area, fire pit, pizza oven, under 8's area, a sensory room, a music room, moving and loose parts, digging and gardening, team games & sports, cooking, fire pit, imaginative play, arts and crafts, woodwork & hand tools and opportunities to build dens and camps........the possibilities are endless!
Our playground is supervised by trained qualified playworkers. We are always on hand to offer help, support and advice while allowing the children to test their abilities, problem solve and work things out for themselves.
We welcome children to play with us for the whole day but must remind families we are not a child care provision during school holiday periods. A child can attend Felix Road once their parent/carer has fully completed the playground registration membership form.
Felix Road was established as a play provision by a group of keen volunteers in 1972. After a period managed in partnership with Bristol City Council Felix Road is now run by the community for the community. We would like to thank Bristol City Council and all of our funders for their ongoing support.
